Sausage rolls with 01 Spent Grain Flour
Ingredients
Here's how
- Dissolve the yeast in the water.
- Mix 01 Spent Grain Flour, wheat flour, sugar and salt together.
- Then add half of the flour mixture to the water and stir it well.
- Add the egg to the batter and stir it into the batter.
- Add the rest of the flour mixture a little at a time while stirring.
- When the dough has come together, add the soft butter and let it stir for 8 minutes.
- When the butter has been stirred into the dough, let it rise for an hour with a damp tea towel over it.
- After rising, turn the dough out onto a floured table.
- Divide the dough into 3 portions, which you roll out into a rectangle (approx. 0.5 cm high) and cut 6 – 8 triangular pieces per portion.
- Roll half or 1/3 of a sausage into each piece of dough.
- Spread the sausages on three baking trays and let them rise for 30-45 minutes under a damp tea towel (until they are the right size).
- When the sausage rolls have risen, brush them with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Preheat the oven to 220 C and bake the sausage rolls for 10-14 minutes, depending on size.
